A HUGE thank you to the hype for living up to their name! Yous really did create the biggest hype and kept all my guests on the dance floor! Even before your arrival my videographer Aaron asked who our band was and when I said the hype he said yous were absolutely one of the best bands out there! Your energy levels were so high the whole time and song choices were 10/10! We had a few folk from various locations from around the world who have never done ceilidh dancing before and they absolutely loved it!!! I really appreciated you guys singing my mums favourite song, that was very special for especially me and my sister! So many people keep telling me how amazing pitbull was and how they LOVED the light up guitar and the fact you guys really mingled in on the dance floor! The dream band for our day! One word to describe this band INCREDIBLE!!!! The Hype were truly entertaining. We had a daytime set which was a more chill vibe but sounded absolutely amazing. Then had the full band at night and we could not have been happier. The dance floor was never empty and they engaged with the crowd the whole night. We couldn’t recommend The Hype enough! From start to finish, they were absolutely fantastic and had everyone up on the dance floor. We had the superb guys from Hype sing through the day and the band at night. They kept our dance floor going and played songs that go the crowd going! 5* An Absolute 10/10 right from the initial planning stages till the awesome performance on the night. You guys were brilliant with all our requests, the music on the night was the perfect setlist for us. All of our friends and families have inundated us with messages with just how cool the whole evening was. I don't think there was a moment the dance floor was empty. The wee Ceilidh was a great laugh, probably more so as 90% of the guests were English, but the calling meant everyone could take part. You guys were amazing. Really helped the chill vibes during the day and kept the party going all night. I have been to some weddings with an empty dance floor and it was one of my big fears of the day but you all proved I didn't need to worry. You were so accommodating with our requests, including a last minute first dance change, and nothing was too much. You are also some of the friendliest bunch of guys and were great with guests. The ceilidh set was just perfect and gave our English family a real taste of Scotland. We will never stop recommending you guys!!

They were just fantastic. They did an acoustic set during the drinks reception, the guests loved it. Then when the reception started, they certainly helped get the party started!! It felt like they were part of the wedding party, on the dance floor, mixing with all the guests, really great energy. Great mix of songs and we even had some ceilidh ones thrown in. They knew exactly what songs to play to keep the party going! Would highly recommend them, really helped make our wedding a day to remember!

One of our biggest fears leading up to the day was an empty dancefloor. Needless to say, with Kenny and the lads in charge, that didn't happen. From their early acoustic set to their arena-worthy evening performance, The Hype were absolutely electric, and how they managed the guest appearances from Pitbull and Liam Gallagher, I have no idea. Days later, messages are still streaming in about how they made the night: knowing which songs to play and when, and even throwing in a crash course in ceilidh dancing to the delight of our foreign guests. 10/10 – they'll be my top recommendation for anyone getting married, and my top choice at any event where I get the opportunity to bring in a band again. The Hype Band were great to deal with all the way from booking until our wedding night. They put on an absolutely first class show and they were such great vibes on the night. The dance floor was constantly packed. There were some surprises along the way with costume changes and songs that went down so well with ourselves and our guests. Thanks very much again.

When we were looking for a band to play at our wedding, we wanted to find one that matched what we like to listen to, and one that would give everyone a good night. We are so glad we picked The Hype as they delivered on exactly what we wanted and more. We booked David and Kenny for a daytime set between our ceremony and meal - the guys were ready to go so quickly and kept everyone entertained while we were getting whisked about for photos! The guys were also really personable and easy to chat to - they took time out of setting up to make sure we were doing alright and go over any last minute questions we had. Just a generally friendly group of guys that were a pleasure to be around. The daytime set gave us a good indication that the reception was going to be a good time - and it was everything we had hoped for - from the very first song to the last the guys were energetic and everyone had an awesome time. The guys are great at encouraging everyone to get up and have a go on the dancefloor. They have such a varied set list that there's definitely something for everyone in there! Everything was perfect, from the music itself to the interaction with our guests and they left no one feeling left out. Would definitely recommend getting The Hype to play at your wedding, or any other event - you will not be left disappointed!

After going to the Coast showcase we chose The Hype to be our wedding band as we knew they were just what we were looking for with a good mix of music/genres. In the run up to the wedding Kenny was always available to answer any questions. On the night, the dancefloor was full start to finish (even during the break!) and the ceilidh went down a treat! We got so much great feedback about the band, everybody loved them! Would highly recommend The Hype to anyone! The Hype really were the cherry on top of our wedding. They had the whole wedding up dancing from start to finish with a real good mix of music. A few of our guests said that they had never danced so much at a wedding. The band were really good fun and really engaged with our guests and made the evening really fun and enjoyable. I've honestly had so many compliments on the band, multiple people had mentioned it was by far the best band they have heard at a wedding. We wanted to throw a massive party for all our friends and family and that's exactly what you did. I don't think there was any point there weren't people up dancing. I honestly can't thank yous enough. I think your band is such an important part of your reception and the hype really delivered and made it so memorable. The ceilidh was bloody ace and I think at one point there wasn't enough space on the dance floor for everyone. The Hype played at our wedding on Saturday 3rd August and from the moment we first made contact with them we knew they were the band for us. From the communication leading up to the wedding, saving the day with providing the music for the ceremony to the very last dance, these guys were outstanding. Nothing was too much hassle, and they're sh*t hot at what they do. Our wedding was small but the guys kept everyone entertained, from conga lines, playing Mr & Mrs, karaoke and of course Oasis there was something for everyone. Couldn't recommend The Hype any more if I tried! Although we had quite a small number of guests, we were delighted they were able to get most, if not everyone up dancing and involved. They managed to get our family and friends up and involved in dancing, playing instruments and singing, one even giving their own rendition of 500 Miles! Although that may just be something small to the band, it really meant a lot to us and really matched the tone of our wedding! I would 100% recommend anyone looking for a band to go with The Hype! They played at my wedding a few weeks ago and it was absolutely amazing. Right from the beginning the band couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Anytime I got in touch with questions they answered very promptly. When I asked for certain songs to be played they were very accommodating and were very open to take suggestions on the night from us and our guests! Our wedding was on a Tuesday so we were worried that a lot of guests might not dance but with The Hype we had nothing to worry about. They were so interactive and even got my brother in law and husband to get up and sing with them! We had so many guests comment on how amazing the band were so please book them as you definitely won't regret it!

If you want your wedding to be a party, you need The Hype. They brought the party from the word go, we had a conga line half an hour in. They were a delight to speak with and knew exactly what songs to play to keep the party going and the dance floor full. Extremely professional and an amazing band! 10/10

The Hype were amazing. Right from our first dance, which they absolutely smashed, they were all we could hope for and more. Every song was brilliant. A great mix of the indie tunes we love, old classics and some brilliant mash-ups. They had the floor filled for the whole night—even people who never dance! Their audience participation was amazing too, and they had been so helpful and responsive in the run-up. We cannot recommend them enough and are already planning to see them at a future gig! These guys rock. They played for my sister-in-law's wedding. Versatility – playing 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s. Even a mini ceilidh half way through the night! It was like a gig experience over a typical wedding band. They really do like playing all genres. Never heard Rage Against the Machine played at a wedding (Killing in the Name). Pure legends.

Amazing band! Very talented performers, a great mix of cover songs and ceilidh set - and a bride vs groom dance-off which went down very well! Felt in very safe hands after booking, as Kenny (guitarist) kept in regular touch, and was very accommodating with setlist details. Would highly recommend this band!

We don't know where to start, The Hype were amazing from start to finish at our wedding reception. The communication was great when we were planning the wedding and they went the extra mile to include our son in the celebrations too. Arranging a special game for him and his friends, even using his favourite song and providing prizes. On the night itself, they were just wow! Every song was brilliant - first thing the guests said when we spoke to them was "the band are amazing!" and we totally agreed! You couldn't meet a nicer bunch of guys either, so friendly. We'd recommend them in a heartbeat! So pleased we found them! 5 stars definitely, we'd give them an extra one if we could as they really did go above & beyond for us ⭐️ Lee & Brian x

I don't think we've ever seen a wedding band like the Hype before! From the moment they started playing the crowd were up for it singing and dancing! Their set list is suitable for all! I'd encourage any bride and groom to be to hire these guys, you won't be disappointed! That's for a fun filled night!

Wow, what a band! The guys at the Hype stepped in as the original band I booked cancelled last minute due to Covid. From the first to the last song it was just nonstop hits, the dance floor was packed which was just amazing to see all my friends and family having such a good time after being apart for so long.

The Hype are an amazing wedding band. We had them play at our wedding and we can't thank them enough. The dance floor was full all night with the band playing hit after hit. Would definitely recommend.
